Quality control in sports goods is specific to the product. A generic assurance means little; the useful question is what is measured, and against what.
Stitched and inflatable goods
Stitch count and seam strength, cover thickness, weight, circumference and air retention over a set period.
Wooden goods
Moisture content, warp, surface finish, joint strength and dimension tolerance.
Moulded and protective goods
Shell thickness, foam density, strap strength and size consistency across the run.
When checks happen
In-process checks catch problems while they can still be fixed. Pre-dispatch checks confirm what is leaving. Both are worth agreeing before production starts.
What to ask for in writing
